The conference begins on Friday evening, May 18, at 6 p.m. with a reception at the Harry S. Truman Little White House.
This popular event feature great conversation, sea breezes, tours of the Little White House, words of welcome from the directors of the Little White House and the Harry S. Truman Library and from President Truman’s eldest grandson, and a keynote address by Senator Bob Graham of Florida.
The theme of Senator Graham’s address will be “Reflections of a Florida Politician on President Truman’s Foreign Aid Legacy.”
On Saturday, May 19, a conference of prominent scholars will explore the Truman administration’s extraordinary and unprecedented, in American history, use of foreign aid in its formulation of foreign and defense policy.
