The founding fathers of the OVER THE HILL RIP-OFF, Capt. Al, Dick Shepherd, Capt. Socko Gorenflo and Rip Tosun, and all of us that have participated in this event over the past twenty-two years have so much to be proud of. The sailfish tournament limits entry to anglers age 50 and over.
Good things often come from humble beginnings and this tournament certainly reflects that old and trusted adage. Together we have raised nearly $400,000.00 in a little one-day fishing tournament helping those in need in Monroe County, contributing generously to help “Catch the Cure for Cystic Fibrosis” and providing financial assistance to Monroe Association of ReMARCable Citizens.
