Vintage Southernmost Hotel
If you visited Key West thirty years ago, you saw a very different picture at the corner of United and Simonton streets. At that time, the Southernmost Hotel resembled a motor inn complete with a center pool. The South East Ocean Inn with seven efficiency units was nearby. A vision was born to transform these modest beginnings to a world class collection of accommodations in the southernmost city.
To keep up with the growing number of Key West visitors, over the years the Southernmost Hotel property expanded, adding adjacent vintage hotels and building new properties on the beach, replacing dated and deteriorating buildings with elegant oceanfront spaces.
The Southernmost Beach Resort now encompasses the original location of the Southernmost Hotel, the new Southernmost on the Beach, the Dewey House and La Mer guesthouses, as well as the Southernmost Beach Cafe.
