This annual KL2KW evemt is the bucket-list trip of a lifetime. Imagine the sense of accomplishment paddling 100 miles to the southernmost point in the US! The 2012 “Century” trip, March 13-22, will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Henry Flagler’s Railroad, stopping at historic sites and paddle beneath many of the marvelous and beautiful bridges.
Explore hidden mangrove creeks, work on stroke refinement and stop on islands to lunch, rest and swim. Each night set up camp in time for a delicious dinner, often featuring fresh Florida seafood, and watch the famous Keys sunsets. As time allows, there will be opportunities to fish, snorkel, and birdwatch, so feel free to bring your gear.
