This October, come visit one of the most bone-chilling events in Key West! The Haunting of Fort Taylor, a haunted event that will change the way you feel about Key West.
Alongside the Haunt itself, our Open-Air Theater of Chills will be showing the black and white horror films of old that terrorized our parents and grand parents! So come for the night, have a scare, then grab some refreshments from our concession stand and enjoy some great classic horror!
On Saturday October 20th, attend the Vampire’s Ball, a costume party for the adults in the Salley Port of Fort Zach. There will be a cash bar as well as food concessions. So come prepared to dance and show off your Halloween costumes! We’ll have first, second, and third place prizes for the crowd-judged costume contest. Vamp’s Ball runs from 8:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. and is 18 and up!
Each year a large portion of the proceeds goes to save the fort, and every year we have been able to do more than the previous year. Last year just over $10,000 dollars went to help Fort Taylor! So for all of you that love a great scare, now is your time get your thrills and help save a great piece of our island’s past at the same time!
