New Year’s Eve revelers tired of cold-weather festivities such as the traditional “ball drop” in New York’s Times Square can find exuberant celebrations and much warmer temperatures in the Florida Keys. Thousands of people are expected to gather on Key West’s famed Duval Street to ring in 2012 by watching a gigantic man-made conch shell, the symbol of the Florida Keys, “drop” at Sloppy Joe’s Bar.
