Join museum personnel as the Aquanauts and other researchers aboard the Aquarius habitat take you on a journey sixty feet below the ocean’s surface to share discoveries from their latest missions and tell what it’s like to live and work in the world’s only underwater research laboratory.

The Aquarius Habitat, owned by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and operated by the University of North Carolina Wilmington, supports marine science research, training for NASA Astronauts and Navy Divers as well as a wide range of marine education activities. Aquarius serves as a home base for aquatic research and is a national asset that supports scientists in their efforts to better understand oceans and coastal resources.
