Today I went to The Southernmost House Grand Inn for a meeting.  The Inn looked splendid.  Very grande and historic.  The rooms are newly remodeled and they now have more fabulous rooms across the street in the old Ramos House.  The view from the main house to the pool is unsurpassed with the Atlantic Ocean kissing up against the sundeck and seawall.  I overheard the front desk quoting rates for a room with an ocean view and it was very moderate which is excellent for this time of year.   This is a place worth checking into! You can view them on this web site under the bed and breakfast category.

I then went out for a business lunch at Camille’s on Simonton Street.  For those of you that haven’t been there yet, it’s where the locals go and therefore it’s where everyone goes.  Camille’s has an excellent menu.  One of the best aspects is that they serve breakfast all day until 3.  They have special omelette’s with innovative combinations such as lump crab meat, sun dried tomatoes, asparagus and brie.  My friend had the grilled mahi-mahi with sauteed onions, mushrooms and pepper jack cheese all wrapped up in a grilled flour tortilla.  I ate super healthy with curried chicken on jasmine rice with a mixed green salad.  Quite a dramatic change for me from my usual grilled sharp white Vermont cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato and avocado on seven grain bread.  To die for!

If that hasn’t got your mouth watering then you must be asleep! Wake up! Check back with this blog for my latest eating adventures of healthy, fun and delcicous food in Key West.  Chow for now!
