The 8th annual World Sailfish Championship kicks off April 13th, runs through the 17th and is one of South Florida’s most prestigious sailfish tournaments.
Anglers compete for $125,000 in cash — including a $75,000 guaranteed first-place cash prize, a $25,000 second–place cash prize and a $10,000 third-place cash prize.
There will be three days of hard-fought fishing complemented by three evenings of fabulous food, drinks, fun and entertainment. Scheduled highlights include a free concert overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in Key West FL, along with gourmet meals and VIP parties.
The sailfish spectacular begins Tuesday, April 13th, with a final registration from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Kohler Captains Meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with the kick-off party at 6:30 p.m.
Opening ceremonies follow, highlighted by a Military flyover and a Coast Guard Demonstration scheduled for 7:20 p.m., followed by a live concert in Mallory Square featuring Randy Houser starting at 7:30 pm
